To meet the professional development needs of financial advocates across ACCC’s membership, the Financial Advocacy Network Advisory Committee has established two task forces for 2024: the Guidelines and Initiatives Task Forces. Distinguished members of these Task Forces will share their expertise, knowledge, and effective practices to amplify the role of financial advocates, deliver education and workforce readiness resources, and provide professional development and networking opportunities.
Guidelines Task Force
As the healthcare landscape continues to change and the role of oncology financial advocates evolves, ACCC’s Financial Advocacy Network is collaborating with its partners to update the Financial Advocacy Services Guidelines using a consensus-based process.
Initiatives Task Force
The Financial Advocacy Network provides tools and resources to help cancer programs build a strong financial advocacy workforce. The Initiatives Task Force will develop tools and resources that are specific to starting new programs, implementing staffing models, onboarding new staff, and adjusting to shifting work environments.
